Praying for my friend

This morning my good friend sent me a text saying she was having strong contractions...at 32 weeks. She was in our local hospital on IVs and getting shots of medicine to stop the contractions. Until about noon it sounded like she may have to be transfered to Sioux Falls becasue they were not stopping. FINALLY she called and said they were much better and the doctor was hoping things were going to be going better. She also said that she is not dialated or anything so that is also a good thing.

This really hit home for me because not only is Sarah a close friend but I was in a similar situation not too long ago. The only difference is that I was almost "expected" to go into labor at an early date because I was having twins. I feel her pain and wish that everything goes well for her. I would not wish having to go though this on anyone. The medicine they give you makes you feel horrible and laying in bed doing nothing for a extended period of time is not my idea of fun...especially when you are thinking about your unborn child and hoping and praying that things will turn out alright.

I've Been Tagged

It's good to realize all of the positives we have in our lives.

Here are the rules:

1. Mention and link back to the person that tagged you. I was tagged by Katy my step-sister-in-law. http://k-k-k-katy.blogspot.com

2. List 6 little things that make you happy.

3. Tag 6 other bloggers and let them know that "they're it".

Here are the things that make me happy!

1. My Kids (Braden 4, Cade 11mths, Riley 11mths)! They are the most wonderful things in my life! I am so thankful that they are happy and healthy. I am truely blessed.

2. My husband Ryan. He makes me so happy and gets me through all of my rough times. Without him I don't know what I would do. Even when I am stressed and cranky he always tries to make things better.

3. My Mom and Step-dad. My mom is my best friend. Not a day goes by without talking to her at least once (sometimes 10) times. She knows my every mood and takes it all in stride. My step-dad has been my father figure my entire life. Without him I do not know where I would be. We can be so alike it is scary! People who don't know my family well think that he is my "biological" father.

4. My Job. Even though I often comlain about how much I hate my job I always have to remind myself that I DO have a job and should be EXTREAMLY greatful! Many people are not as fortunit as I am.

5. My Friends and Family. I have never had very many close friends but the ones that I have are GREAT! My family is very small and I love every member dearly. It is very nice and sometimes overwelming because my husbands family is HUGE...but I am so thankful for every single person in our life. I am so happy that Ryan's step-brothers have moved back to Sioux City. This makes him very happy! I am also very happy too because it gives me a chance to get to know Katy, my step-sister-in-law.

6. My Health and My Familys Health. I am very lucky to be healthy. After spending last summer on bed rest and in the hospital for pregnancy complications I know how very lucky we are to be healthy.
